Pain relief and healing without drugs.

The safe and effective way to eliminate pain and promote healing on a cellular level:

Arthritis

Arthritis is one of those diseases you may think are inevitable. If you have a history of repeated sports injuries, or perhaps a strong family history of either rheumatoid or osteoarthritis, it can seem unavoidable. Fortunately, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Low-level laser and LED therapy has been shown to provide biological pain relief, increased range of motion, and decrease joint inflammation by treating the root cause of the disease, rather than cover up symptoms with analgesics and injected steroids.

Osteoarthritis involves synovial inflammation as well as damage to the cartilage and subchondral bone. In early stages, infiltration of mononuclear cells to the synovial fluid and production of proinflammatory cytokines are key contributors of articular damage.

Your LazerTouch unit targets photoreceptors in cells which absorb the light to be used for energy production and biological healing. This process, referred to as photobiomodulation, occurs when the light energy in the form of photons emitted from your LazerTouch elicit cellular and biological responses in your body. The chief photoreceptor is Cytochrome C Oxidase, an enzyme in the electron transport chain that is involved with the production of ATP. Increased ATP leads to a cascade of secondary effects including increased signal transduction, DNA synthesis, cell proliferation and differentiation, tissue regeneration, modulation of pro and anti-inflammatory mediators, and collagen formation. All of these cellular actions have a significant impact on pain, inflammation, and range of motion of arthritic joints.

Low-level laser is effective in treating inflammatory cytokine production by rheumatoid arthritis synoviocytes, a specialized type of cell located inside the joints of the synovium. This means that you can naturally reduce the level of pro-inflammatory cytokines produced by synoviocytes, using your LazerTouch.

The key to treating any type of arthritis with light therapy is to target the synovial membrane. With your LazerTouch, the arrays are positioned in such a way to provide the joint with full saturation of photons to be absorbed by the cells.

Spinal disc herniation

Back pain caused by spinal disc herniations have tremendous physical, financial, and emotional burdens. When it is accompanied by radiating pain and numbness in the extremities, it can be truly debilitating.

Signs and symptoms include pain, paresthesia, numbness, tingling and decreased sensation to various parts of the body when the nerves of the spinal cord become affected. There can also be decreased motor strength, muscle spasm, or decreased range of motion. Some risk factors include prolonged standing, age related changes, poor body mechanics, being overweight, and physical trauma.

Intervertebral discs are the fibrocartilaginous joints of the spinal column. They allow compressive, tensile, and rotational motion of the spine. Intervertebral discs do not contain significant vascular structures, but receive their blood supply indirectly through the vertebral body endplates (the top and bottom portions of the disc), which allow nutrients to diffuse into the nucleus pulposus and annulus fibrosus (the interior and exterior portions of the disc). Because it doesn’t receive blood flow directly, it is very difficult for the body to heal if it has been damaged or torn, and 15-20% of lumbar disc herniations require surgical intervention.

Thankfully, low-level laser and LED therapy can provide lasting pain relief by targeting not only the blood, but the tissues surrounding the disc for faster repair. Irradiating the disc with the correct wavelength of light directly accelerates collagen production, one of the main materials of the annulus fibrosis. The photobiomodulation of low-level laser and LED therapy increases stem cells and myosatellite cells which help repair damaged muscle tissue as well as nerve cells to help nerve regeneration in cases of nerve compression by the disc. Inflammation and swelling are also decreased by your LazerTouch. Your LazerTouch has an additive effect, building upon each treatment to achieve lasting results that fix the root problem, not just the symptoms.

Back pain

Up to eighty per cent of people suffer from back pain at some time in their lives. Of those who develop acute lower-back pain, up to 30% will go on to develop chronic lower-back pain. The toll on individuals, families and society makes the successful treatment of this common, but benign condition an important goal.

Low-level laser and LED therapy has been shown to reduce pain by blocking painful stimuli by sensory neurons, reduces inflammation by removing inflammatory markers, and reduces muscle spasm. It also treats swelling around nerve roots by improving lymphatic flow and stimulates tissue repair and wound healing by, increasing collagen production, and angiogenesis (the repairing of blood vessels). Your LazerTouch also stimulates the central nervous system by increasing serotonin and endorphin levels (the body’s biological pain relieving chemicals).

Clinical effects of your LazerTouch

The safe and effective way to eliminate pain and promote healing on a cellular level:

  • Angiogenesis and Neovascularization: An increase in oxygenated blood to the injured tissue accelerates tissue healing.
  • Collagen Production: Proper alignment and remodeling of collagen reduces internal scar formation and improves tissue elasticity.
  • Muscle Regeneration and Muscle Atrophy: Repair of damaged muscle fibers and activation of myogenic satellite cells leads to regeneration of muscle tissue.
  • Inflammation and Edema: Increase in inflammatory mediators such as macrophages, neutrophils, and lymphocytes accelerators and resolves the inflammatory process.
  • Nerve Regeneration: Proliferation of growth factors promotes neuronal sprouting and myelin formation for optimal nerve recovery.
  • Cartilage Production: Increase in chondrocyte and collagen production allows for improved cartilage deposition and joint function.
  • Bone Formation: Proliferation of osteocytes and remodeling of bone extracellular matrix results in accelerated bone repair.
